Help me Grandfather!

Little Ujjwol Sapkota, four years old, was playing outside his home in his village.   Like all chidren who play in their own yard, he felt happy and safe.  Grandmother and Grandfather were just inside and all was well with the world.  Suddenly Grandfather heard a terrifying scream--one he hopes never to hear again that sent shivers down his spine:  "HELP ME GRANDFATHER!"  Running outside, his heart seemed to stop.  A tiger was dragging his precious Ujjwol into the nearby forest.  Screaming at the top of his lungs and waving his arms, he started a fast pursuit.  Friends who lived nearby looked outside to see what was going on.  Immediately they joined in the chase.  For 200 meters those brave men chased the tiger who had Ujjwol by the throat.  Evidentally the screams and sounds of the men running made some sort of impression on the tiger and he dropped the by now limp child.

Picking him up and staunching the flow of blood, the men carried little Ujjwol the fifteen kilometers it was to come here to Scheer Memorial Hospital.  Immediately our team started working on the little boy.  One of our physicians stated that Ujjwol was a brave little man who never cried a tear nor had one complaint.  We are all so thankful to the Lord for the successful outcome of the surgery and wish him all the best and a speedy recovery.

This is little Ujjwol resting with his grateful grandfather after surgery.

Two of Grandfather's neighbors keep him company as Ujjwol sleeps.
